Private Residence – West Byfleet

This project involved renovating both the front and rear gardens. The front garden focused on, additions to the driveway including two rumble strips, some new hard landscaping at the front of the house, new steel edging to define the driveway and a new planting scheme throughout including the front boundary hedging.

The rear garden, approximately 2,221 m2, underwent a complete redesign, initially integrating the existing stone terrace, this changed once construction began, and including features like a swimming pool, pool house, outdoor kitchen, dining area, and seating space. Access routes connect various garden elements, including a pathway from the front to the rear garden. Other features include a compost area, concealed shed, and a new fence along the right-hand boundary. The design considers views from the rear-facing windows and aims for year-round interest with a modern classical style, emphasising structure and lush planting. Traditional, weathered materials in earth tones were used for hard landscaping, while outdoor lighting provides both ambiance and functionality. The design aimed for simplicity, cleanliness, and defined zones for dining and relaxation, incorporating a range of outdoor furniture and planters.

The planting was to be traditional, neat and smart in appearance with an elegant and calm ambience providing long seasonal interest. Evergreen structure and ornamental grasses were included.
Regular meetings with clients and designers were integral to the project’s success. We conducted frequent progress meetings to monitor each stage meticulously and address any concerns promptly. Clear directives and detailed drawings provided by the garden design team at the project’s inception allowed us to deliver exceptional results.
