Private Residence – Urban Garden
The garden design for this new build property encompassed the front, rear, and side gardens. The goal was to create a smart, dynamic garden with symmetry, height, layers, and balance.
The front garden was transformed into a welcoming space with an engaging approach. This was achieved by redesigning the area to include a new stone layout and fresh planting. The result is an inviting entrance that enhances the curb appeal of the property.
The rear garden was designed as a structured space to be enjoyed both within the garden and from key views inside the house throughout the year. Key features of the rear garden include:
- Entertaining Spaces: Areas dedicated to dining, relaxing, and morning coffees, including an outdoor fire for cooler evenings.
- Planting for Height and Structure: Parasol trees were planted to provide height and structure, while pleached hornbeam trees were introduced to screen the neighbouring properties and walls.
- Immersive and Stylish Design: The garden design took into account the beautiful woodland beyond, integrating the “borrowed view” to enhance the garden’s appeal.
- Pathways and Routes: Paths were incorporated to create a cohesive space, offering practical solutions for movement around the garden.
The new planting scheme featured strong structural elements, evergreens for year-round interest, height variation, and seasonal colour. Existing pots were incorporated into the design, adding to the garden’s charm.
A new irrigation system was installed to ensure efficient watering of the garden and a carefully designed lighting scheme was introduced to enhance the garden’s ambiance and usability at night.
The end result is an immersive, stylish, and exciting garden that complements the new build property, providing a cohesive and practical outdoor space.
